FAQ

What happens when a client starts to work with your firm?

We usually request that a website planner be submitted with our site, and will also set up a discovery call to answer any up front questions. From here we highly prefer to schedule an in house meeting to allow for further discovery of the projects idea, concept, and overall direction.

What are important information pieces a client can provide up front?

Whether the project is simple brochure website, or the newest upcoming innovative on the web, we like to see a few core pieces in play up front. These would include; the projects name, other site examples, a somewhat clear vision of the end result, and of course passionate people ready to create a new exciting web presence with our very energetic team.

Do you charge for up front meetings in discovery process of the project?

We offer anywhere from 1 to 5 hours of communication, meetings, as well as dialogue, and general idea sharing in our up front process. This is all dependent on what the overall scope of the project is up front, and how much research is needed to deliver the best proposal possible.

How long does it take to receive a proposal from Don't Blink Design?

Usually within 1 to 2 weeks from the first meeting, is when the baseline is reached to deliver a proposal. With more comprehensive ideas this can take up to one month. We strive to get the largest amount of understanding of a project before submitting a proposal to our clients. This enables a more specific price and timeline for the project, as well as a very subjective specification list of the projects scope.

Does your firm provide hosting?

We recommend and are partnered with two of the finest hosting companies in California. Please see our hosting affiliates page within our site.

What is your hourly rate and why?

Our rate is set for standard development hours, we elect not to advertise this rate due to the competitive market place that we are in. It should be noted that we are very open to negotiating our rate in a number of very beneficial ways with our clients. We are open to just about everything!

Do you work with clients outside of California?

Yes we do, and we have systems in place to keep our long distance clients in tune with their project from day 1. These systems are very unique to our firm, and keep the driving passion of the client hands on every step of the way. If they are unable to meet in person, we have found ways to enable them to feel as if they are working right along side our team.

How many client projects does Don't Blink Design work on at one time?

Usually about 3 - 6 projects at a time are in our current development schedule. We make a very strong effort to make room for new clients every month, as any growing business should. More often than not we are able to start any new project with 1 to 2 weeks once a proposal has been signed and delivered.

What is an average turn around time for a project?

This can differ based on the scope of a project, however our average project length is about 90 days. For smaller brochure sites we strive for 60 days or less, and approximately 3 to 6 months for more application based sites that involve new technology creation. We have the team power to deliver over 100 hours per month to each project that we bring into our firm to ensure a timely delivery to each of our clients.

What are your goals as a company in the web application industry?

We strive everyday to bring new ideas to life, and to passionately exceed every limitation that has been set before us. Our goal is simple... To be the most innovative web development firm in the universe!
