LAMP House

We love LAMP!

"LAMP" comes from "Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP". By being a "LAMP" style development firm, it means that we use only "Open Source Technology" - really the dividing line between development firms in America today. There are two major choices when interviewing development firms for a project - "Closed Source Technology or .NET/.ASP" which is motivated financially by Microsoft and seems to skim the surface of all the technology available, or "Open Source Technology" which is free, and NOT motivated by any monetary gains to be a better source of technology. Makes sense, huh. We think so, too.

PHP

PHP pretty much rules!

PHP is another language that our firm uses to develop websites in a dynamic state. The true definition of PHP is really not important. What is important though is to know why it's so super cool. PHP in its most elementary form can be described as a scripting language for internet web pages. PHP gives the ability to make very cool web programs take place. One popular idea is having a scheduling calendar on a website that others can login into and get information from, use for scheduling, and others can interact with. A web calendar is a great example of a dynamic program which many companies are utilizing today.
